This course helps international nurses confidently use the German language in their daily work. Communication with patients, physicians, and colleagues is a key focus. Dialogues, examinations, and reports are practiced through simulated situations . In addition, general German grammar is reviewed and reinforced.

CLASS TIMES
8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
either Monday to Thursday (20 units per week)
or Monday to Friday (25 teaching units per week)

COURSE CONTENT
Our German course for nurses offers comprehensive, practice-oriented training to equip participants with the language skills they need to succeed in the nursing profession. The course covers a variety of topics and exercises designed to address the demands and challenges of the nursing profession. Here are some of the course's focuses and activities:
Understand work instructions correctly
Mastery of nursing terminology
Naming of aids and equipment in care
Simulation of everyday job-related situations
Intensive training (nursing documentation, work reports)
Communication with patients, superiors, colleagues
Conducting discussions with relatives
Understand and follow instructions
Repetition and expansion of German grammar
Practicing concrete conversation situations
Conversations with patients
Discussions with doctors and colleagues
Vocabulary training specifically with regard to medical terms (e.g. anatomy, clinical pictures, colloquial disease terms)
Writing nursing reports and developing specialist vocabulary for nursing visits, handover and instructional discussions
Additional topics: Palliative medicine and geriatric care
Training skills such as listening, reading, writing and speaking
